I'm a gamer, an artist, a writer, a day dreamer. I've always lived in my own little worlds, some would call it an overactive imagination. I doubt however that would be your reason for checking this page, so lets get to the heart of the matter.
I was born on the eastern coast of Canada, in St. John's, Newfoundland in 1977. Yeah, that puts me at about to enter my 30's, scary ain't it? I wouldn't change it though. I've been playing games since the early days of the industry. Yes, I've played Pong, but that's cliche isn't it. Everybody and their uncle has played Pong. I remember sitting through hours and hours of some of the influential games of our times. I can tell you the first time I loaded up Final Fantasy I. The hours of frustration trying to level up in Dragon Warrior. The multitude of quarters I've lined up on arcade machines of Street Fighter II. I was in an arcade the first day they unloaded Mortal Kombat. Forget Resident Evil, I remember peeling the plastic off my copy of Alone In The Dark and gasping at the polygonal goodness glowing on my PC screen. Hell, I could go on and on about my memories growing up in the most exciting time for a video game enthusiast and dying to see where the next generation will take us.
I've always wanted to not only play video games, but to write, create, and build them as well. It took me a long time to find the means to learn, but I eventually did only a couple years ago. So I trucked my arse back to school after being outside of a classroom for a decade...yes, a decade. So there I was sitting in classes where I was on the same years of my life as some teachers. My god, I was older than some of them even. I soon found out that age mattered not here, we were all hungry to learn how to take a humble cube and turn it into something meaningfull.
After two years at the Centre for Arts and Technology (Now called "The Centre" which sounds way too Star Trek for my tastes) I recieved my diploma in Game Art and Animation Production. So now here I am, married, a father of a tenacious little boy, and trying to break into the entertainment industry. Smart, eh? Well, it's my dream and I'm determined to make it work.
So welcome to what makes me tick. Break out your D20's and D10's for all you White Wolfers, take a load off and browse the pics. Feel free to check out my blog. If you want to see some of the RP stuff I enjoy, check out the Twilight League, that's where I hang out as the surly dwarf Craygor Stonesledge. I have quite a bit of writing up there, which is a passion that I don't think will ever amount to anything, but it sure makes me happy.
Cheers
